Coin Master is a popular casual mobile game combining village building, slot machine mechanics, and social interactions. Our client requestedmultiple mascot character illustrations for A/B testing to determine which style would resonate best with a specific European market. The brief required three distinct styles for the main Piggy character:Ghibli style, Chibi style, and Line style, with multiple poses for each.
Since the client had limited familiarity with Japanese illustration styles, our team provided detailedmoodboards and reference materials to guide understanding and decision-making. This project allowed our team to blend creativity with strategic design to enhance CoinMaster’s marketing efforts in new regions.
Objective
The primary goals were to produce high-qualitycharacter illustrations of the main Piggy mascot in three styles, generate multiple poses for each, and provide avisual basis for A/B testing to determine audience preference. Additionally, we aimed to educate the client on Japanese illustration styles usingmoodboards and references.

Our Approach
Our team developed comprehensivecharacter designs for the CoinMaster Piggy mascot in Ghibli, Chibi, and Line styles. We produced multiple poses for each style to supportA/B testing in the target market. Moodboards and visual references were provided to educate the client on the nuances of each Japanese-inspired style. Throughout the project, we iteratively refined the illustrations based on feedback, ensuring the final characters were visually appealing, consistent, and aligned with the game’s branding and marketing strategy.
The result was a set of high-quality, versatile Piggy character illustrations that enabled the client to make informed decisions formobile game marketing, enhancing engagement and supporting their expansion in new regions.
